The underground utility portion of the project will be completed by the July 4th Holiday.  The contractor will spend some time early next week performing general site clean-up and miscellaneous tasks to prepare the site for roadway reconstruction.

Next Thursday, the contractor is anticipating to begin the roadway reconstruction phase of the project. This work will include removing the remaining asphalt pavement, excavating the existing base materials as needed to acquire a stable roadway base, installation of new aggregate base materials, new concrete curb & gutter on both sides of the roadway, and new asphalt pavement.  The length of time this work will take will be based on how much existing material needs to be removed to get to a stable base.

During roadway reconstruction, the entire width of the roadway will be excavated during the day. It will be difficult to travel along Topp Lane.  Driveway and roadway access will be restricted during working hours, but restored at the end of each day. Additional information will be provided next week.

Thanks again for all your understanding as the project moves into the next phase of construction and the various inconveniences that you will experience.

Have a safe and enjoyable July 4th Holiday.
